The best thing we bought our dog to stand out was an LED dog collar band. There are three settings, quick flash, slow flash and on all the time. The unit is charged via a USB lead and lasts for hours before needing to be recharged.

If your dog is as mad about balls as ours you will know when it comes to darker nights it becomes hard to play with the ball in the park or on the beach.
We have owned a couple of different Glow Balls, but the 'Chuck-it Max Glow' is definitely the best we have come across. No batteries are needed, well only for your touch. You shine a torch into the end of the ball for a couple of minutes and the ball glows green. It is soft and whistles as it flies through the air, both the dog and I love this ball on darker nights.
